About The Position

Monarch/Brandywine Senior Living is seeking a Certified Med Tech to support residents in an assisted living community. The role involves administering or assisting with the self-administration of prescribed medication under RN supervision, providing resident care according to care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with applicable regulations and standards. The associate is expected to protect residents’ comfort, privacy, and dignity, complete required medication training, attend scheduled in-service training, and follow community policies and procedures. The position is per diem and requires weekend availability. Pay is $22.00–$24.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Current New Jersey Medication Aid Certification.
• New Jersey CNA or HHA Certification.
• At least six months of experience working with seniors in assisted living, home health, a hospital, or a long-term care environment.
• Ability to work weekends.
• Ability to perform the physical activities described, including standing, walking, sitting, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds; intermittent lifting and supporting of residents is required.

Responsibilities

• Administer and/or assist with self-administration of prescribed medication to residents and maintain related medical records under RN supervision.
• Complete required annual medication training according to state requirements.
• Provide resident care to ensure needs are met according to each resident’s care plan.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records and written documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations, certification standards, and legal and ethical standards.
• Maintain residents’ comfort, privacy, and dignity when delivering services.
• Participate in and attend scheduled in-service training.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and community policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
