Certified Med Tech- Per Diem
About The Position
Monarch/Brandywine Senior Living is seeking a Certified Med Tech to provide medication assistance and resident care. The role administers or assists with self-administration of prescribed medication and maintains related medical records under RN supervision. It also involves ensuring residents’ care needs are met according to their care plans, maintaining accurate and compliant documentation, and preserving residents’ comfort, privacy, and dignity. The associate must complete required annual medication training, attend scheduled in-service training, and comply with applicable regulations and community policies. The position is per diem and pays $22.00–$24.00 per hour. Per diem benefits include a flexible schedule, on-the-job training, and free parking.
Requirements
- Current NJ Medication Aid Certification.
- NJ CNA or HHA Certification.
- At least six months of experience working with seniors in Assisted Living, Home Health, a Hospital, or a Long-Term Care environment.
- Ability to work weekends.
- Ability to perform the stated physical activities, including lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds and intermittently lifting and supporting residents using proper body mechanics.
Responsibilities
- Administer and/or assist with self-administration of prescribed medication and maintain related medical records under the supervision of the RN.
- Complete required annual medication training according to state requirements.
- Provide resident care to ensure care needs are met according to each resident’s care plan.
- Maintain accurate, complete medical records and written documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations, certification standards, and legal and ethical standards.
- Maintain residents’ comfort, privacy, and dignity when delivering services.
- Participate in and attend scheduled in-service training.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and community policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
