Certified Home Health Aide PRN - West Oahu, HI
About The Position
Neogen Care is seeking a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide home-based patient support in West Oahu and surrounding areas. The CHHA works closely with and under the supervision of a licensed or certified clinician, providing assistance with basic daily activities and supporting skilled services. Duties include helping patients with personal care, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, and prescribed exercises, as well as measuring and recording vital signs when ordered or directed. The position involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary clinical team and other duties as directed by the RN, therapist, Clinical Manager, or personal care plan. This is a PRN/per-diem role with competitive per-visit rates plus mileage reimbursement.
Requirements
- One year of recent CHHA experience.
- One year of recent CHHA experience with a home health agency.
- Current CNA/HHA certification in Hawaii.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Licensed driver with a vehicle in good working order that is currently registered and insured in accordance with state and Neogen Care requirements.
- Strong observation, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills, including use of email, texts, employment record self-service, and electronic medical record software.
- Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to perform required nursing skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Kinnser electronic medical record software is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with bathing, mouth care, shampooing and hair care, transferring, dressing and undressing, and ambulation.
- Provide housekeeping and therapy services to patients in their homes.
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals and assist patients with feeding.
- Assist patients with basic activities and daily living needs.
- Measure and record patients’ temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered or directed by the RN, therapist, Clinical Manager, or personal care plan.
- Work with clinicians using a multi- or interdisciplinary team approach.
- Perform other duties as directed by the RN, therapist, Clinical Manager, or personal care plan.
