About The Position
Neogen Care is hiring a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) for its newest agency in Hawaii. The role serves patients in their homes in Honolulu and surrounding areas, working closely with and under the supervision of a licensed or certified clinician. CHHAs provide skilled support and assistance with basic daily activities, including personal care, mobility, meals, and light housekeeping. They may measure and record vital signs and assist with exercises or routines as directed by clinicians or the patient’s care plan. The position is PRN/per diem and offers competitive per-visit rates plus mileage reimbursements.
Requirements
- One year of recent CHHA experience.
- One year of recent CHHA experience with a home health agency.
- Current CNA/HHA certification in Hawaii.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- A valid driver’s license and a vehicle in good working order that is currently registered and insured in accordance with state and Neogen Care requirements.
- Strong observation, verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills to manage email, texts, employment record self-service, and similar tasks.
- Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to perform required nursing skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Kinnser electronic medical record software is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, mouth care, shampooing and hair care, transferring, dressing and undressing, and ambulation.
- Provide housekeeping and therapy services to patients in their homes.
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals and assist patients with feeding.
- Assist patients with basic activities and daily living needs.
- Measure and record patients’ temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered or directed by the RN, therapist, Clinical Manager, or personal care plan.
- Work with clinicians using a multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary team approach.
- Perform other duties as directed by the RN, therapist, Clinical Manager, or personal care plan.
