About The Position

Home & Health Care Management is seeking a Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide in-home care to clients in Redding and surrounding counties. The agency delivers home health care and case management for older adults, children, and people living with disabilities. This role works with an interdisciplinary team to support individuals transitioning from a hospital to home care and help clients remain in their communities and achieve their personal goals. This is not a remote position. The aide reports to clients’ homes and travels within the Redding area and surrounding counties. The position is part-time or per diem, ranging from 2 to 29 hours per week, with variable hours. The posting notes a strong possibility of full-time work in the next 90 to 180 days. PPE is provided to employees.

Requirements

Completed an approved Home Health Aide training course and received Home Health Aide certification from the State of California.
Patient-interaction skills.
Experience with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Experience with Hoyer lifts.
Ability to multitask and perform duties in a timely and orderly manner.
Valid California driver’s license.
Eligible to be insured under the company’s liability policy and have a clean DMV report.
Reliable transportation.
Proof of current auto insurance.
Negative TB skin test or chest X-ray.
Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, oral hygiene, meal preparation and feeding, dressing and undressing, and ambulation.
Perform other assigned activities and duties accurately and in a timely manner.
Notify the office of abnormal findings or conditions.
