About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care’s ACSP Division is hiring Home Health Aides (HHAs/CHHAs) to provide one-on-one care to clients in their homes across Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, Cumberland, and Salem Counties. Aides provide compassionate care according to a written plan of care under the direction of a registered nurse, helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent. Training and assistance with the New Jersey Board of Nursing CHHA application process are available for qualified candidates. Interviews may be virtual or in person. Day, evening, and weekend shifts are available, with efforts made to match aides with clients near their homes.
Requirements
- Be compassionate, patient, dependable, and respectful.
- Be passionate about helping others and committed to providing quality care.
- Be able to travel to clients’ homes as assigned.
- Be comfortable working independently with clients.
- For experienced HHA/CHHA applicants, have a current CHHA/HHA credential in good standing with the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
- Previous caregiving or home health experience when required for the position.
Nice To Haves
- Previous home health care or patient care experience; it is welcome but not always required.
- Spanish-speaking candidates are welcome.
- Training may be available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one care based on a written plan of care under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Assist clients with bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and other household tasks.
- Assist clients with ambulation and transfers.
- Help clients perform range-of-motion exercises.
- Check vital signs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Help clients maintain independence at home.
