About The Position

The Emergency Department Technician serves as a liaison and advocate for patients, families, visitors, and staff. The role aims to enhance the service experienced by patients, family members, and visitors while enabling Emergency Department staff to focus on direct patient care. The technician identifies patient and family needs and works to improve their satisfaction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• No prior work experience required.
• Healthcare Provider CPR certification, or obtain it within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills for documentation and interactions with patients, families, and staff, including conveying clear, concise instructions and receiving information to understand and make decisions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison and advocate for patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Enhance the service experienced by patients, family members, and visitors.
• Identify the needs of patients and their families and work to improve their satisfaction.
• Enable Emergency Department staff to concentrate on direct patient care.
