About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) to oversee dietary operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support quality nutrition care for residents. This is a travel-based role primarily focused on Florida and North Carolina, with potential travel to additional locations across the U.S.

Requirements

• Completion of an ANFP-approved Dietary Manager program, OR Degree in Foodservice Management, Nutrition, Culinary Arts, or related field, OR Equivalent combination of education, training, or military experience.
• Experience in foodservice management Required.
• Current Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential (required)
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Nice To Haves

• minimum of 1 year of experience in long-term care preferred.
• Experience with MDS, CAAs, and care planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee food purchasing, production, service, and sanitation practices
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and prevent foodborne illness
• Manage dietary department operations including staffing, budgeting, and cost control
• Monitor food quality and ensure residents receive adequate nutrition
• Collaborate with clinical teams and facility leadership
• Provide training and guidance to dietary staff
• Lead and represent the dietary department during state and federal surveys
• Conduct resident screening and collect nutrition-related data as assigned
• Complete MDS, CAAs, and develop individualized care plans addressing nutrition risks
