About The Position
NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center is seeking a Certified Central Processing Technician for its Central Sterile Supply department. Under the direction of the department supervisor, the technician manually cleans and reprocesses scopes safely and cost-effectively using established policies and procedures. The role also involves cleaning, sterilizing, and assembling equipment, supplies, and instruments according to prescribed procedures and techniques. This full-time position works overnight, from 11 PM to 7 AM, and includes rotating weekends and alternating holidays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management, or certification from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).
Nice To Haves
- Prior CSPD experience.
- Experience with scopes.
- CER certification.
