Certified Central Sterile Technician- Central Sterile Processing Department -CSPD- Nights
About The Position
NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center is hiring a Certified Central Processing Technician for its Central Sterile Supply department. Under the direction of the department supervisor, this role manually cleans and reprocesses scopes safely and cost-effectively in accordance with established policies and procedures. The technician also cleans, sterilizes, and assembles equipment, supplies, and instruments using prescribed procedures and techniques. The position is full-time, working 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, with rotating weekends and alternating holidays, onsite at Columbia University Medical Center in New York, New York. Employees must live within commuting distance; travel expenses are not reimbursed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management, or certification from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD).
Nice To Haves
- Prior CSPD experience.
- Experience with scopes.
- CER certification.
