About The Position

The Certified Caregiver provides memory care residents with assistance in activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and helps maintain their personal environments. The role includes transporting residents around the community, responding promptly and safely to emergencies, requests, and environmental hazards, following resident care plans, and obtaining vital signs. The schedule is part-time, Friday and Saturday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Requirements

• A valid Arizona Caregiver Certificate.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and help maintain their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans.
• Obtain vital signs.
