About The Position

The Certified Caregiver provides assistance to residents in an assisted living community. The role includes helping residents with activities of daily living, transporting them within the community, responding to requests and emergencies, and following resident care plans. The position is full-time and scheduled from 2–10 p.m., Sunday through Thursday.

Requirements

• A valid Arizona Caregiver Certificate.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet all state educational requirements for the position.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred.
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming and bathing, and help them maintain their personal environment.
• Transport residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining.
• Respond promptly, appropriately, and safely to emergency calls, resident or visitor requests, and environmental hazards.
• Review and adhere to resident care plans and obtain vital signs.
