Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant
About The Position
Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System is seeking to hire FULL TIME Certified Anesthesiologists Assistants (CAAs) to join their team. This role offers a variety of schedule options, 8 weeks of time off, and a 4-6 week mentorship/orientation period. There are unique opportunities to teach and/or mentor S-AAs through the local MHSA program (VCOM – Carolinas Campus). The Anesthesia care team consists of approximately 34 Anesthesiologists and 100 CAAs/CRNAs covering various areas including OR, Endo, Cath Lab, L&D, MRI & IR with anesthesia tech support. The system has 4 facilities with diverse case mixes, ranging from a Level 1 Trauma Center to a Community Hospital. There are no transplant or burns cases, some healthy pediatric cases, and limited NICU cases. The Church Street Campus (Level 1 Trauma Center) handles over 19,000 cases annually and utilizes EPIC EMR. The institution is PSLF Approved.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of an accredited anesthesiologist assistant educational program.
- Must be a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA).
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center environment.
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care within the scope of practice for a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists and other anesthesia providers.
- Participate in a diverse case mix across multiple facilities.
- Potentially teach and/or mentor S-AAs through the VCOM – Carolinas Campus MHSA program.
