About The Position

The Division of Real Estate & Professional Licensing is seeking candidates to fill a Certification/Licensure Examiner 2 position on the licensing team. The Certification/Licensure Examiner 2 will perform duties including reviewing and verifying required documents to assist with acquiring, maintaining or reactivating a Real Estate or professional license and communicating any needs/corrections to internal and external customers. This role requires understanding and articulating the codes that regulate Real Estate and other professional licenses and applying them in different scenarios. Communication via email and telephone regarding license requirements for acquisition, maintenance, reactivation, and resignation/cancellation is essential. This position collaborates with the Licensing Manager to ensure timely application processing. Periodic report compilation, drawing conclusions from these reports, and preparing and sending basic correspondence are also key functions. The State of Ohio is a drug-free workplace.

Requirements

  • 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in reviewing applicants' eligibility to take examinations, test administration & scoring & compiling statistics concerning test results; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in typing, word processing or data entry using video display terminal.
  • 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in clerical/secretarial or other administrative support position involving public contact & preparation of correspondence & reports; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in typing, word processing or data entry using video display terminal.
  • 12 mos. exp. as Certification/ Licensure Examiner 1, 16841.
  • Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
  • Clerical & Data Entry skills.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and verifying required documents to assist with acquiring, maintaining or reactivating a Real Estate or professional license.
  • Communicating any needs/corrections to internal and external customers.
  • Understanding and articulating the codes which regulate Real Estate and other professional licenses and apply them in different scenarios.
  • Communicating through email and telephone the requirements of licensees to acquire, maintain, reactivate and resign/cancel licenses.
  • Working with the Licensing manager to ensure applications are processed in a timely manner.
  • Periodically compiling reports, drawing conclusions from these reports and preparing and sending basic correspondence.
