About The Position

The Division of Real Estate & Professional Licensing is seeking candidates to fill a Certification/Licensure Examiner 2/Customer Service Assistant 2 (CLE 2/CSA 2) position. This position will have responsibilities on both the Licensing and Customer Service teams. The CLE 2/CSA 2 will perform duties including responding to email inquiries, answering the Customer Support Center phone line, advising customers on application qualifications, submission requirements, and technical information, qualifying calls to determine the appropriate path for resolution, processing incoming mail, assisting with research into customer inquiries, and reviewing and processing applications to verify applicants have met standards and provide recommendations. The role independently ensures applicant’s experience meets criteria for the appropriate level of license or certification for appraisers, brokers, salespersons, or company licenses as they pertain to applicable state and federal laws, rules, policies, and procedures. The position also involves processing necessary paperwork and making recommendations to resolve deficiencies. Applications must clearly indicate how the applicant meets the minimum qualification for the position. If minimum qualification is met due to educational achievement, an unofficial transcript(s) must be submitted with the application. All answers to supplemental questions must be supported by information provided in the work experience and/or education sections on the civil service application; "see resume" will not be accepted. The final candidate selected will be required to undergo a criminal background check and other investigative reviews. Criminal convictions do not necessarily preclude an applicant from consideration, unless restricted by state or federal law. An individual assessment of an applicant’s prior criminal convictions will be made before excluding an applicant from consideration. Requirements

  • 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in reviewing applicants' eligibility to take examinations, test administration & scoring & compiling statistics concerning test results; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in typing, word processing or data entry using video display terminal.
  • OR 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in clerical/secretarial or other administrative support position involving public contact & preparation of correspondence & reports; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in typing, word processing or data entry using video display terminal.
  • OR 12 mos. exp. as Certification/ Licensure Examiner 1, 16841.
  • OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
  • Clerical & Data Entry skills

Responsibilities

  • Respond to email inquiries received by the division.
