About The Position

This is an intermittent position where an employee is limited to working less than one thousand hours per fiscal year. This Customer Service Assistant position will work in-office at the Department of Commerce Tussing Rd. location. 6606 Tussing Rd. Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. Hours scheduled per week will vary dependent on workload. The Mission of the Ohio Department of Commerce is promoting prosperity by protecting what matters most. Requirements

  • 9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. exp. in office practices & procedures
  • 9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. exp. in public relations or customer service that included techniques for handling difficult people
  • 9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. exp. in typing, keyboarding, data entry or word processing
  • 9 mos. trg. or 9 mos. exp. in operation of personal computer
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to phone and email inquiries received by the Division’s Customer Support Center.
  • Process incoming mail to include stamping, reviewing for completeness, logging and filing.
  • Assist with research into customer inquiries
  • Assist with records, data, documentation and reports
  • Complete other general office tasks, as needed
