About The Position

TRIUMF, Canada's particle accelerator centre, is seeking a CERN Hi-Lumi Cryomodule Fixture Design Student for an on-site position. This role involves supporting the design of jigs and fixtures for the assembly of five crab cavity cryomodules for the High Luminosity upgrade project at CERN. The student will work under close supervision to complete final design and fabrication drawings for the machine shop and assist in on-site assembly of SRF related projects. This program offers students a chance to learn about RF, superconductivity, and cryogenics, master CAD and FEA tools, and gain hands-on experience in mechanical engineering and vacuum technology, strengthening their future career prospects. Located on the UBC campus, TRIUMF provides a unique environment for learning, networking, and exploring Vancouver.
