Responsibilities

  • Assisting with miscellaneous Stores tasks as required such as: convenience packaging of small parts, putting away stock, serving customers, answering the telephone, data entry, unloading trucks, which may involve the use of a forklift, as well as other related tasks as required.
  • Is familiar with TRIUMF’s safety and security related policies as they relate to the SCM-Logistics group, which will include issuing dosimeters and entry of visitors to the site.
  • Maintaining Stores inventory by performing tasks such as: inventory replenishments, inventory analysis, maintaining the inventory catalog by keeping supplier and item attributes up to date (part numbers, prices, order points…).
  • Supporting with shipping and receiving tasks such as: receiving inventory and non-inventory goods, gathering quotations for shipping requests and processing shipments.
  • Carrying out periodic maintenance checks on TRIUMF vehicles (fluid levels, tire pressures etc.) and ensures vehicles are kept clean and tidy.
  • Reports any maintenance/repairs that may be required to any of the vehicles.
  • Operating a light duty delivery truck as required in and around the lower mainland area for pickups, deliveries, and occasional courier service.
