About The Position

Gladding McBean in Lincoln, CA is a manufacturer of vitrified clay pipe for sewers, clay roof tile, piazza clay floor tile, glazed terra cotta pottery, architectural terra cotta, sacked mortar clay, chimney tops and caps. We are a proud member of the Pacific Coast Building Products Family of Companies. This position supports all areas of developing, color matching, testing and preparing glazes, and maintaining the Glaze Preparation Area. It is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of school and experience required.
  • Three to five years of applicable experience in a clay products manufacturing plant.
  • Must be able to operate a PC and various office equipment/technology, good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license to visit other Clay sites (Class A, B, C with Haz Mat Endorsement. Any employee who drives on your organization’s behalf – Office Staff, Sales Reps, etc.).
  • Predictable and Regular attendance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Supports all areas of developing, color matching, testing and preparing glazes.

  • Monitor departmental compliance with applicable local rules and regulation.
  • Must be able to interact with all members of process team and managers.
  • Must be able to communicate positively with shift managers and section leaders.
  • Experience with development of scope to identify and environmental needs for capital projects.
