About The Position

This role is responsible to the assigned manager for performing entry level engineering work activities and projects requiring the application of engineering knowledge in a safe, effective, efficient and economic accomplishment of assigned objectives. The engineer will exhibit advanced level proficiency and specialized technical knowledge to serve as a resource for the company in areas such as system production, underground systems, extensive control systems, thermo-hydraulic control systems, distribution standards, or fossil/nuclear plant operations. The position involves influencing the direction of thinking throughout the organizational unit as a recognized authority and leading, facilitating, and coordinating work activities of others within and external to the company, often assuming the role of project or function manager. Responsibilities include developing, recommending, and implementing plans with scheduling, resource, and cost information for complex engineering problems, as well as identifying, clarifying, resolving, and initiating solutions to multi-functional problems. The role also involves developing opportunities and new ideas with system-wide impact, leading presentations of complex technical subjects to various stakeholders, and building extensive professional networks. Decision-making involves making technical decisions based on calculated risks, affecting long-range plans and goals, and visualizing long-term results with an understanding of business opportunities and customer/supplier relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET
  • Entry level position for new graduates
