Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate highly specialized surgical procedures
  • Schedule and authorize intricate surgical interventions, such as neurosurgery, cardiothoracic surgery, or orthopedic procedures
  • Conduct thorough assessments of medical necessity for surgeries, appointments, and procedures, particularly for specialized treatments
  • Act as a primary liaison between surgeons, specialized departments, and hospital personnel
  • Facilitate coordination of specialized procedures

  • Maintain compliance with specialized procedure requirements
  • Ensure accurate documentation for proper reimbursement

  • Coordinate emergency response for specialized surgeries
