Central Sterile Technician | Monticello Hospital
About The Position
CentraCare Monticello Hospital is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented team player to join its Central Processing Team. The team performs approximately 2,600 cases per year and is responsible for cleaning and sterilizing surgical equipment after procedures. The role supports patient safety by reducing infection risk and ensuring instruments are properly processed and available for use. The technician decontaminates, disinfects, sterilizes, inspects, inventories, and distributes surgical equipment, tools, and instruments in a timely, quality-focused manner. The role also uses technology for instrument tracking and inventory management. The position is part-time, scheduled for 64 hours every two weeks, on an eight-hour day shift with variable start and end times. Weekends and holidays are not required. CentraCare will train the successful candidate on the rest of the role.
Requirements
- Obtain Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification within 18 months of hire.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Basic computer knowledge.
