About The Position

Cleans, decontaminates, inspects, assembles, packages, sterilizes, stores, and distributes supplies, instruments, and equipment dispensed by the department, following infection control guidelines. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Successfully pass a nationally accredited central service exam and maintain a Certified Registered Central Service Technician credential administered by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management or the Certification Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution; or have been employed as a central service technician before January 5, 2021; or obtain one of the listed certifications no later than two years after hire.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in standard English, in written and oral/verbal formats.
• Write legibly and record information accurately as needed to perform job duties.
• Computer literacy.
