About The Position
Slomin’s is seeking a full-time Central Station Operator to join its Central Station team in Hicksville, NY. The operator monitors fire, burglar, and medical alarm systems from a centralized facility to help protect customers and their property. The role involves reviewing incoming alarm signals, verifying activations, and coordinating appropriate responses with emergency services, including Police, Fire, and EMS when necessary. The schedule is 3:00 PM–11:30 PM EST, with Monday and Tuesday off.
Requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in time-sensitive situations.
- Undergo a background check; having a criminal history does not automatically disqualify an applicant.
