About The Position

Timken Aurora Bearing Company is seeking a Centerless Machinist to maintain and operate various grinding equipment in accordance with the company’s safety, quality, and productivity standards. The role involves setting up and operating centerless grinding machines, checking parts against print specifications, maintaining quality during machining, and completing required production documentation. This is a full-time position paying $19.50–$23.95 per hour, commensurate with experience and education. The position is eligible for paid time off, a 401(k), and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Mechanical aptitude and shop math competencies.
Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, suppliers, and plant leadership.

Nice To Haves

Post-secondary or trades/technical education and certifications.
Ability to read blueprints.
Ability to use gauging equipment.

Responsibilities

Mount and balance grinding and regulating wheels as needed; select and change the work blade, thru-feed spacer, shims, and other machine features.
Calculate and set workblade height; adjust guides, diamond height, and truing angles.
Dress wheels and make necessary lead adjustments.
Set size, track, and gauges, and adjust speeds and feeds.
Install machine guards as needed.
Run first-piece parts, make adjustments to meet print specifications, and complete paperwork for setup approval.
Load parts, cycle the machine, inspect parts at designated intervals, and adjust operations as needed to maintain quality to print specifications.
Box or rack parts.
Demagnetize and wash parts when required.
Tag parts and complete required paperwork, including SPC charting.
