About The Position

The Center Store Specialist is responsible for excellence across center store categories including Dairy, Frozen, Bulk, Coffee, Candy, and Beer & Wine. The role ensures product freshness, pricing accuracy, merchandising compliance, inventory integrity, and guest engagement while maintaining operational standards and delivering an exceptional guest experience. The position pays $18.48–$19.71 per hour and requires a flexible schedule that may include weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality operations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work at a fast pace.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, grasp, bend, reach, and lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds independently.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods, including up to 4 hours without a break or as required by law.
• Ability to use knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
• Must wear an approved hat, hair net, and/or beard guard, and personal protective equipment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Retail, culinary, and/or grocery experience.
• Experience with electronic shelf label systems, inventory management technology, or AI-enabled retail tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure center store categories meet freshness and quality standards, including proper rotation and dating and temperature compliance for dairy and frozen products.
• Execute planograms and maintain accurate product placement and signage.
• Coordinate with department leadership on ordering and replenishment for dairy, frozen, bulk, coffee, candy, beer, and wine.
• Verify deliveries for accuracy and freshness and ensure proper receiving and storage procedures.
• Support compliance during key item transitions and promotional events.
• Support front-end operations during peak business times as a cashier or in other areas.
• Engage guests with a friendly, helpful approach on the sales floor.
