About The Position

The Center Store Lead provides friendly, courteous customer service and supports stocking and product handling across the Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods, and Grocery departments. The role processes incoming products from the warehouse and direct store delivery vendors, maintains product and store cleanliness, and follows safety guidelines when using equipment. Store-level training will be provided. Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job. Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management.

Requirements

Must be 21 years or older to apply.
Able to stock 50 cases per hour.
Able to work in a cold environment ranging from -10 to 40 degrees.
Able to push a loaded two-wheeler averaging 100–120 pounds.
Able to pull a loaded pallet weighing up to 700 pounds.
Able to pull a loaded stock truck.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to work on feet for the entire shift, which is 4–8 hours.
For internal candidates: must be in good standing, not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline.
For internal candidates invited to an interview: manager approval based on performance is required.

Nice To Haves

For Store/Facility Teammates: a minimum of six months of employment with Schnucks is preferred.
For Store Support Center Teammates: a minimum of one year of employment with Schnucks is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
Stock, straighten, and rotate products on shelves in the Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods, and Grocery departments.
Process incoming products from the warehouse and direct store delivery vendors.
Read and understand shelf tags.
Sort damaged products for credit.
Operate a hand jack, power lift, and cardboard baler.
Follow company safety guidelines when using cutters, power lifts, and the baler.
Maintain cleanliness of shelves, displays, the backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler, and freezer.
Maintain company productivity standards.
Perform other duties as assigned by store management.
