About The Position

As a member of the C&S Wholesale Grocers family of companies, SpartanNash is a food solutions company serving customers through its global supply chain, wholesale and retail operations. The Center Store Associate works independently to display and stock products in the store, contributing to the store’s financial interests and meeting company guidelines for guest experience, safety and food safety. The role is based at 865 E. Jefferson St., Plymouth, Indiana 46563. Duties may also be assigned in other departments based on customer experience needs, and travel requirements vary by assignment.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Retail or related experience preferred.
Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.
Basic mathematical skills.
Detail oriented.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Assist with receiving, unloading and stacking merchandise in the back room.
Fill, rotate and merchandise products on shelves, in cases and on sales-floor displays.
Notify the manager when products or supplies need to be ordered.
Become familiar with products carried in the departments and their locations in the store.
Handle spoiled or damaged products according to established guidelines.
Maintain clean, attractive and well-stocked departments.
Follow personal protective equipment and safety guidelines.
Follow food safety and cleaning expectations.
Follow guest experience guidelines.
Perform tasks in other departments as assigned based on customer experience needs.
Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
