About The Position

The Center Director leads a childcare center and oversees school operations while supporting children's social, physical, and intellectual growth. The Director works with staff to create a warm, inspiring, educational, caring, and safe environment, and keeps parents informed and engaged. The role includes managing and developing staff, supporting implementation of the company-provided curriculum, ensuring compliance with company and state licensing standards, fostering positive community partnerships, and recruiting and retaining quality staff.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet state education requirements and the center/school's requirements.
• 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience.

Nice To Haves

• CDA, associate degree, or bachelor's degree, preferably in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Experience in early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Manage school staff by planning work schedules, evaluating performance, and developing performance improvement plans.
• Assist with implementing the company-provided curriculum by coaching teachers, communicating standards, and interpreting standards for them.
• Ensure the school operates in accordance with company and state licensing standards.
• Promote a positive partnership with the surrounding community.
• Help children discover new things and build self-esteem in an educational, caring, and safe environment.
• Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.
• Keep parents informed and engaged.
