About The Position

The Center Director manages the School’s operations and works with staff to create a learning environment that supports children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth. The Director keeps parents informed about their child’s progress and helps ensure the School operates effectively and in accordance with company and state licensing standards. The role calls for a committed individual who wants to make a difference in the lives of young children and their families.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must meet state education requirements; additional center or school requirements may apply.
• Willingness to attain state-mandated Director requirements.
• Must have 2 years of Center Director experience in a licensed child care facility.
• Must have the North Carolina Level 3 credential.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Early Childhood Education or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage School staff by planning work schedules, evaluating staff performance, and developing performance improvement plans.
• Assist with implementing the Company-provided curriculum by coaching teachers and communicating and interpreting standards.
• Oversee School operations and ensure compliance with company and state licensing standards.
• Ensure an educational, caring, and safe environment for children and parents.
• Promote children’s imagination, self-esteem, and daily learning.
• Promote the company’s positive image and help establish it as a provider of choice in educational programs in the communities it serves.
• Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.
• Help achieve company profitability.
• Keep parents informed of their child’s progress.
