About The Position

The Center Director leads a child care center and is responsible for its effective and efficient operations. The Director promotes children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth, works with staff to create a warm and inspiring environment, and keeps parents informed and engaged.

The role includes managing and developing staff, supporting implementation of the company-provided curriculum, ensuring compliance with company and state licensing standards, and building positive partnerships with the surrounding community. The Director also helps create an educational, caring, and safe environment where children can learn and grow.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Must meet state requirements for education and the center/school requirements.
• Two years of Center Director experience in a licensed child care facility.

Responsibilities

• Plan staff work schedules, evaluate staff performance, and develop performance improvement plans.
• Assist with implementation of the company-provided curriculum by coaching teachers, communicating standards, and interpreting standards for them.
• Ensure the school operates in accordance with company and state licensing standards.
• Promote positive partnerships within the surrounding community.
• Help provide an educational, caring, and safe environment that supports children’s learning and development.
• Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.
• Keep parents informed and engaged.
