About The Position

The Center Director leads and manages all school operations at a child care center, promoting children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth. The Director works with staff to create a warm, inspiring, educational, caring, and safe environment, while keeping parents informed and engaged. The role also involves implementing the company-provided curriculum, maintaining compliance with company and state licensing standards, and fostering positive partnerships with the surrounding community.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Must meet state education requirements and the center/school requirements.
• At least 2 years of Center Director experience in a licensed child care facility.
• North Carolina Level 3 credential.

Responsibilities

• Manage school staff by planning work schedules, evaluating staff performance, and developing performance improvement plans.
• Assist with implementing the company-provided curriculum by coaching, communicating, and interpreting standards with teachers.
• Ensure the school operates in accordance with company and state licensing standards.
• Promote positive partnerships within the surrounding community.
• Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.
• Promote children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth in a warm, inspiring, educational, caring, and safe environment.
• Keep parents informed and engaged.
