About The Position

The Center Director runs all School operations effectively and efficiently while promoting the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children in their care. The Director works with School staff to create a learning environment and keeps parents informed about their child’s progress. The role includes managing staff, supporting implementation of the Company-provided curriculum, ensuring compliance with company and state licensing standards, and providing a caring and safe environment for children and parents. The Director also promotes the company’s image, recruits and retains quality staff, and helps achieve profitability.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet state education requirements; additional center or school requirements may apply.
• Willingness to attain state-mandated Director requirements.
• 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience overseeing at least six non-exempt associates.

Nice To Haves

• CDA, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree, preferably in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Experience in early childhood education is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage School staff by planning work schedules, evaluating performance, and developing performance improvement plans.
• Assist with implementing the Company-provided curriculum by coaching teachers, communicating standards, and interpreting standards for them.
• Be accountable for School operations and ensure compliance with company and state licensing standards.
• Ensure an educational, caring, and safe environment for children and parents.
• Support children’s learning and development by sparking imagination, building self-esteem, and helping them discover new things.
• Promote the positive image of the company and help establish it as a provider of choice in educational programs in the communities it serves.
• Recruit, select, and retain quality staff.
• Help achieve profitability for the company.
