About The Position

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) is conducting a large-scale Census Test in 2027 to help shape the design and delivery of Census 2031. AMS Skills Creation is partnering with ONS to hire an organized and self-motivated Area Operations Support Officer for Westminster. This role involves supporting operational leadership and playing a key part in a large-scale field operation to ensure a successful Census Test. It offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a project of national significance, help ensure community representation in future decision-making, develop leadership and operational management skills, gain experience with the UK's largest producer of official statistics, receive comprehensive training and support, and be part of an inclusive, innovative team shaping future public services.

Valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle, with proof of (Business Class 1 use) insurance (evidence of both must be provided before employment begins).
Meet the eligibility criteria for Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). BPSS includes identity, right to work, employment history; and criminal record (unspent convictions) checks.
A reliable wireless broadband connection at your home address.
To be available to travel to ONS Headquarters in Titchfield for 4-5 days in week beginning 11th January 2027.
