About The Position
The primary purpose of this position is to maintain cemetery grounds by following daily tasks set by the Cemetery Crew Supervisor. Duties include maintaining landscaping and grounds, opening and closing gravesites, and performing basic equipment maintenance.
Requirements
- Knowledge of landscaping.
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License.
- Must meet the City criteria for an acceptable driving record.
Responsibilities
- Maintain grounds by mowing, cutting shrubbery, trimming trees, sweeping roads, blowing and picking up leaves, and emptying and cleaning trash receptacles.
- Open gravesites by digging with proper equipment.
- Close gravesites by covering graves, planting new grass seed, and washing all equipment.
- Perform basic maintenance on equipment as needed.
- Perform other similar duties as required.
