About The Position

The Laborer performs general labor and cleanup work in a plant or field as directed, and unloads railcars as directed. All duties are performed while exhibiting and championing safe work and environmental compliance practices for the employee and coworkers.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
Knowledge of hazards associated with areas of responsibility.
Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods, up to 8 hours.
Ability to walk on all types of surfaces, including uneven or slippery ground.
Physically able to climb on equipment.
Must use proper personal protective equipment as required.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders as high as 400 feet in elevation.
Ability to walk long distances, climb stockpiles, stoop, and crawl under and into enclosed spaces.
Ability to see and hear safety indicators and warnings; the role involves exposure to all levels of noise and requires hearing protection.
Ability to work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty conditions, and near a hot kiln process.
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

Responsibilities

Perform cleanup duties in all areas of the facility.
Operate equipment including the super sucker, street sweeper, track mobile, front-end loader, forklift, bobcat, water truck, dump trucks, and other related equipment.
Unload railcars as directed.
Paint as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
