About The Position

The Cement Bulk Plant Hand assists with daily bulk plant operations, monitors the yard, and performs general housekeeping duties. The role requires operating a forklift to scale out products and load hoppers, pallets, or unload pallets when applicable. The employee must follow Health, Safety, and Environment policies, attend required training and safety meetings, and use appropriate personal protective equipment, including a full-face respirator. Additional duties may be assigned by the manager.

The position involves shifts of 12 or more hours, which may include days or nights, weekends, holidays, and work in extreme weather conditions. The employee must be able to perform the role’s physical tasks, including walking on uneven surfaces, climbing equipment ladders or stairs, and lifting. Some work environments may have moderate noise levels.

Requirements

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow directions in English.
• Knowledge of safe hand tool use.
• Ability to communicate with teammates and supervisors.
• Ability to safely perform duties during shifts of 12 or more hours, including days or nights, weekends, holidays, and extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the shift.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Ability to safely lift 50 pounds and lift 25 pounds over the head.
• Ability to perform the role’s physical functions, including sitting, standing, walking, manipulating and handling objects, reaching, stooping or bending, and talking or hearing.
