About The Position

The Cement Bulk Plant Hand assists with daily bulk plant operations, monitors the yard, and performs general housekeeping duties. The role involves operating a forklift to scale out products and load hoppers, and to load or unload pallets when applicable. The employee must follow Health, Safety, and Environment policies, attend required training sessions and safety meetings, and use appropriate personal protective equipment, including a full-face respirator. Additional duties may be assigned by the manager.

The position requires the ability to safely work shifts of 12 or more hours, including days or nights, weekends, and holidays, and in extreme weather conditions. The work environment may have moderate noise. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform the role’s major responsibilities.

Requirements

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow directions in English.
• Knowledge of safe hand tool use.
• Personable and able to communicate with teammates and supervisors.
• Ability to safely perform duties during 12+ hour work shifts, including days or nights, weekends, holidays, and extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crawl, walk on uneven surfaces, and climb equipment ladders or stairs throughout the work shift.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Ability to safely lift 50 pounds and lift 25 pounds overhead.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift operator certification preferred.
