About The Position

The Cell Leader - 3rd Shift will be responsible for providing leadership to one or more Business Unit Cells. Apply CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), Lean and other continuous improvement techniques to develop and implement process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing quality, throughput and delivery integrity. Provide leadership and guidance to multi-skilled group of team members engaged in the manufacture and repair of jet engine components. Ensure employees are adequately trained and work in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Able to bridge business objectives across (3) operating shifts and will have availability across all shifts. Support all legal obligations such as United States Government contracting and Administration of FAA policies and procedures. Responsible for making minor changes in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of the work area. Sets day-to-day operational objectives for team. Will execute basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or related environment OR Associate's degree and minimum 4 years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or related environment
  • In lieu of a degree, 6 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing operations, quality or related environment
  • Experience in MS Office applications, specifically MS PowerPoint and Excel
  • Working knowledge of shop practices, processes and procedures
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
