Airfoil Cell Operator - 3rd Shift (onsite)
About The Position
Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Airfoil Cell Operator for the 3rd Shift. This role involves performing routine servicing, operating simple machines, transporting materials, and assembling/finishing parts. The operator will work from various instructions, use measuring instruments, and record data. They will also assist with new equipment tryouts and refer difficulties to supervisors. The position requires adherence to specified procedures and written instructions to ensure proper equipment operation. The operator may also be assigned additional tasks to support department objectives and skill development.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 6 months of work experience with machining methods or equivalent to one year of technical experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine servicing throughout the assigned area following specified procedures and written instructions.
- Set up and operate simple machines or equipment, or operate grouped simple machines to produce parts.
- Transport parts, raw material, and fixtures.
- Work from operation sheets, drawings, computer-generated information, and verbal instructions to machine, fabricate, and finish production parts.
- Perform bench assembly and finishing operations using various tools and equipment.
- Perform part preparatory functions including grit blast, shot peening, masking, and routine oven operations.
- Use measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results in computer data systems.
- Assist others with new equipment or process tryouts and specialized assignments.
- Refer difficulties to a leader or supervisor.
- Perform routine servicing to ensure equipment operates properly.
- May be assigned tasks not specifically listed to support department objectives and develop skills.
