Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Cell Leader for the AWW Shift to provide leadership and direction with an emphasis on team building. This role involves developing an efficient team responsible for engine assembly, establishing standards and expectations for work effort and performance, and providing constant feedback. The Cell Leader will communicate with other departments and customers to ensure satisfaction, address issues, and engage the workforce in achieving production goals. Responsibilities include allocating resources, coaching employees, performing administrative functions for bargaining unit employees (maintaining training, quality, and attendance records), managing cell overtime, and ensuring Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) compliance. The role also requires ensuring employees are trained in EHS aspects, maintaining a strong safety culture, responding promptly to EHS requirements, keeping equipment clean and maintained, and optimizing equipment uptime. Additionally, the Cell Leader must ensure full involvement in continuous improvement initiatives, utilize continuous improvement tools to enhance production and reduce scrap/rework, and uphold all Quality policies and procedures. The goal is to control quality, productivity, and process flow to meet Material Requirement Planning (MRP) needs and ensure high customer satisfaction.
