Costco IT•Issaquah, WA
•$21 - $33•Onsite

About The Position

Costco Digital Services is offering a paid, 12-week internship during 2027 for students enrolled in an IT or related undergraduate or graduate program. The internship is located in Issaquah, Washington, runs from mid-June to early September, and requires interns to work in the office five days per week. Out-of-state work is not allowed, and interns are responsible for their own travel and accommodation; housing is not provided. The UX/UI Designer Intern will work with the Central Engineering team to improve internal tools and platforms and make company processes more intuitive. The team advances a standardized user experience for non-member-facing applications through the Enterprise Design System (EDS). The intern will observe and support the design system, help test new tools, contribute to design discussions, create components, engage users, and explore AI applications for modernizing processes such as compliance validation. The intern will collaborate with engineers and help connect technical capabilities with internal user needs. Interns will attend presentations by members of Executive Management from IT and other parts of the company. At the end of the program, the intern will prepare and present a summary of their experience to management and peers. The position is classified as hourly temporary employment for the internship period, which ends after no more than 12 weeks unless the intern is selected for a regular position through the normal interview process.
