About The Position

pubGENIUS is a React.js and Next.js agency and Ad Tech startup developing digital products for clients across the US and Europe. The UX/UI Designer creates intuitive, effective and delightful digital experiences grounded in user needs and research. The role owns end-to-end design across multiple client projects, from discovery through final interfaces, and collaborates with distributed teams and clients.

Requirements

At least 2 years of professional experience in UX/UI design.
A strong portfolio showing end-to-end design work for web and mobile applications.
Deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies, interaction design principles and visual design fundamentals.
Proficiency in Figma, including experience with design systems and component libraries.
Ability to conduct user research and translate findings into actionable design improvements.
Knowledge of responsive design principles and best practices.
Confidence challenging assumptions and advocating for user-focused design solutions.
Familiarity with AI tools and their application in design.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and communicate asynchronously.
Fluent English at C1 level, with excellent written and verbal communication skills for client-facing interactions.
Experience collaborating with geographically distributed, multicultural teams.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a digital software agency or software development company.
Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML and CSS.
Familiarity with prototyping and usability testing tools.
Domain expertise in fintech, Ad Tech, iGaming, healthcare or e-commerce.
Experience using AI-assisted design tools such as Cursor or Claude Code for prototyping and building interactive concepts.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end design process across multiple client projects, from initial discovery and wireframing through final high-fidelity interfaces.
Conduct user research, including usability testing, interviews and data analysis, to understand user requirements and validate design decisions.
Translate business requirements into intuitive solutions, creating wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs in Figma.
Design responsive, accessible and technically feasible interfaces that follow best practices and WCAG guidelines.
Develop and maintain design systems and component libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency across projects.
Collaborate with project managers, developers and QA teams throughout design and development.
Use AI tools to improve workflows, explore design alternatives, prototype concepts and enhance output quality.
Present and defend design decisions to clients and stakeholders while advocating for user-centered solutions.
Test, learn and iterate designs based on user feedback and data-driven insights.
