About The Position

Operate commercial vehicles safely and in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Transport and deliver goods to designated locations on schedule. Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and routine vehicle inspections. Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery records, and required documentation. Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transport. Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status and route updates. Follow established safety procedures and company policies at all times. Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, incidents, or traffic violations immediately. Verify load accuracy and inspect shipments before departure and delivery. Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed. Maintain a clean and professional appearance of assigned vehicle and equipment. Adhere to hours-of-service requirements and other DOT regulations.

Requirements

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or Class B, as applicable).
  • Current Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certification.
  • Clean driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety standards.
  • Ability to read maps, follow routes, and use GPS/navigation systems.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous commercial driving experience.
  • Experience operating specialized equipment or trailers.
  • Forklift certification or warehouse experience.
