CDL Truck Driver - Day Shift M-F

About The Position

Pretium Packaging is a supplier of injection-blow molded plastic containers, with 21 manufacturing facilities across North America. The CDL Truck Driver transports orders to and from warehouses over established local routes, safely operating a 53-foot commercial vehicle and following company work rules and DOT regulations. The driver is expected to know relevant company policies and procedures and be familiar with department equipment, personnel, and quality criteria. The role is listed as day shift, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience as a CDL Truck Driver.
Valid Class A CDL license.
Motor vehicle record must meet company and DOT standards.
Thorough operational knowledge and skills relating to trucks and equipment used in the role.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment, with attention to detail.
Must pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Inspect safety-sensitive equipment, including trucks and forklifts, in accordance with OSHA and DOT regulations.
Follow loading and unloading protocols and verify shipment contents against the manifest.
Transport and deliver products or items to customers or other designated delivery addresses.
Ensure the trailer is properly hitched and secured to the tractor unit and that its contents are secured to prevent damage or injury.
Assist with loading or unloading products without using a forklift.
Follow designated delivery routes and ensure on-time delivery.
Comply with transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
Prepare reports and other documents related to deliveries.
Notify the manager of major maintenance or delivery issues.
Acquire forklift certification to assist in the warehouse when needed.
Work collaboratively and assist coworkers or supervisors with other duties as required.
Perform other related duties and special projects.
