About The Position

The Truck Driver operates a truck with a capacity of more than 3 tons to transport materials to and from specified destinations. The position is based at the Charleston Prosperity Center and Warehouse in Charleston, West Virginia, and is a full-time day-shift role. The driver delivers goods to stores, picks up donations, maintains required records, and inspects the truck and its equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Class D driver’s license, good driving record, commercial driving experience, and current DOT medical card.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in logistics or warehouse management.

Responsibilities

• Drive the truck to specified destinations.
• Prepare receipts for donations picked up.
• Verify loads against shipping papers for stores.
• Complete retail sales orders for goods delivered to stores.
• Maintain a truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Maintain telephone contact with the supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
• Load and unload the truck and deliver goods in a timely manner.
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies, including tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, water, and cleanliness, and complete a daily report.
• Work efficiently to complete assigned tasks.
