CDL Truck Driver - Day Shift M-F

About The Position

Pretium Packaging is seeking a CDL Truck Driver to transport orders to and from warehouses on established local routes while complying with company work rules and Department of Transportation regulations. The role involves safely operating a 53-foot commercial vehicle to deliver products. The driver is expected to understand company policies and procedures and be familiar with departmental equipment, personnel, and quality criteria.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience as a CDL truck driver.
Valid Class A CDL license.
Motor vehicle record must meet company and DOT standards.
Thorough operational knowledge and skills related to trucks and equipment being operated.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently, with attention to detail.
Must pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Inspect safety-sensitive equipment, including trucks and forklifts, before use in preparing or delivering orders, in accordance with OSHA and DOT regulations.
Follow loading and unloading protocols and verify that shipment contents match the manifest.
Transport and deliver products to customers or other designated addresses.
Ensure the trailer is correctly hitched and secured to the tractor unit, and that its contents are secured to prevent damage or injury.
Assist with loading or unloading products without using a forklift.
Follow designated delivery routes and deliver on time.
Comply with transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
Prepare delivery reports and related documents.
Notify the manager about major maintenance or delivery issues.
Obtain forklift certification to assist in the warehouse when needed.
Work collaboratively with team members and assist coworkers or supervisors with other duties as required.
Perform other related duties and special projects.
