About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for running the Saw. Saw operators in this position setup, operate and adjust various types of power saws to cut parts and material to specified lengths and dimensions. Experienced operating the Horizontal Manual/Automated Feed and Clamp Saw. Must be able to read measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures. Operate Overhead cranes and forklifts. Push pull and lift up to 50 lbs+. Basic hand tools usage knowledge. Basic computer skills. Abide by all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Excellent attendance.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating metal fabrication equipment.
• Understanding and reading of blueprints.
• Knowledge of and ability to identify fabrication industry metals.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work well with team members.
• Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continual improvement.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous work experience in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing vision protection, steel-toed shoes/boots and other appropriate protective clothing.
