About The Position

Drivers operate heavy-duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear-end load lift attachments, transporting material to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities when trucks reach legal load capacity. In this commercial driving role, the driver provides pickup service for containers of waste or recyclable material. Containers may weigh more than 1,000 pounds and may need to be maneuvered on wheels to a pickup area. The work involves driving on high-traffic and congested roadways, driveways, alleyways, and lots; skilled backing maneuvers are essential. The position requires safe operation in accordance with company, OSHA, DOT, and applicable local, state, and federal requirements. Drivers perform vehicle inspections, report safety and service issues, follow assigned routes, communicate customer requests and service interruptions, keep customer locations clean after servicing containers, and complete end-of-day documentation. This is a safety-sensitive role subject to drug and alcohol testing under government regulations and company policies. Pay is $22.00 per hour and up, depending on experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 4:30 a.m.
