About The Position

E.L. Harvey & Sons is hiring a safety-conscious Swing Driver to join its team in Tyngsborough, Massachusetts. The position covers Front Load and Roll Off routes and involves safely operating a garbage truck to collect solid waste while providing courteous service to customers. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a 5:00 a.m. start time and approximately 50 to 55 hours per week; Saturdays may be needed. The role is overtime eligible and pays $30.00 to $38.00. Paid training is provided.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B CDL.
• Clean driving record.
• One year of local route driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a garbage truck on assigned routes to collect solid waste.
• Read route sheets and service each customer listed or assigned by the dispatcher.
• Perform routine pre-route and post-route vehicle inspections, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
• Interact professionally and courteously with customers when needed.
• Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
